  • Our classes are open to all individuals with special needs.

    Participants will fill out a short contact and diagnosis form during initial registration.

    We adapt each classes to fit the individual needs of those attending.

    • The curriculum for each program is established by our CTRS and professionals in that specific field and is grounded in the principles and techniques of Therapeutic Recreation.
    • Our classes are run by professional instructors, knowledgeable in the field they are instructing.
    • Each session typically runs once per week for 8 weeks.
    • Classes run between 50-55 minutes and are adapted to include everyone who attends.
  • Our professional instructors run the classes based on the curriculum established by our CTRS.

    We seek out qualified instructors who have a combination of energy and empathy for working with the special needs community.

    Instructors will adapt the class to include all who attend, and adjust the direction, intensity, and topic of the class as they see fit.

    The goal of the Instructors is to to provide a fun filled, social bonding experience within their role as teachers.

  • We provide the facilities we use with “additional insured liability coverage” and our instructors are required to maintain Professional Liability Insurance.

    With agency day programs we require RSC Westchester be named as an additional insured, and for individuals not coming to us through an agency we require a signed “registration, waiver and release agreement” (and parent/guardian consent agreement where applicable).

  • Our primary goal is to improve the quality of life of our clients while providing a fun-filled learning environment.

    We can provide outcome assessments on request. Please let us know before the beginning of the session.

    A Registration link will appear with each new session.

    We typically cap our classes at 15 individuals, allowing us to work effectively with everyone attending.

    We are a 501C3 not for profit Company, and our fees reflect our efforts to make classes accessible to all.

    Payments are due before the beginning of each session.

    Payments may be made directly through the registration link or by cheque, made payable to: RSC Westchester, 90 Carrollwood Drive, Tarrytown,  NY 10591.

    During the registration process you will be asked to fill out basic information on the participant and sign our waiver and release form

    • Agency day program classes are Monday to Friday between 10.30am and 2pm
    • Afternoon classes are Monday to Friday between 4.00pm-6pm
    • Weekend classes and workshops are Saturdays between 1pm and 6pm.
    • The High School Pioneer Soccer League—co sponsored with Special Olympics, runs in November and December at the House of Sports, 1 Elm st Ardsley, NY 10502.
